“Let those peasants in the United States wail in front of the 5,000 years of Chinese civilization,” he added.
The official went on to say that bullying tactics like the ensuing tariff war had never worked on Chinese people, including those from Hong Kong.
“The Chinese people do not cause trouble, nor are they afraid of trouble. Pressure, threats and blackmail are not the right way to deal with China,” he said.
A top Chinese official warned Tuesday that President Trump’s “extremely shameless” tariff war would backfire soon — leaving “those peasants in the US” wailing.
Xia Baolong, a senior Chinese official who oversees Hong Kong and Macao, lashed out over Trump’s decision to slap a 145% levy on goods from the region, calling the move “brutally unreasonable.”
“The US isn’t after our tariffs but our very survival,” Xia said in a televised speech. “The US has repeatedly contained and suppressed Hong Kong … and this will eventually backfire on itself.”

Hey all you American peasants! The Red Chinese want you to know they love you. ROTFL!
JD set off this CCP pissing match by saying a few days ago>>>>>
Vice President JD Vance told Fox News last week that the U.S. borrows “money from Chinese peasants to buy the things those Chinese peasants manufacture.” Vance, during an interview with “Fox & Friends,” made the remark while speaking about the effects of the Trump administration’s tariffs. “I think it’s useful for all of us to step back and ask us, ask ourselves, what is the globalist economy gotten the United States of America?
And the answer is fundamentally, it’s based on two principles — incurring a huge amount of debt to buy things that other countries make for us, and to make it a little bit more crystal clear, we borrow money from Chinese peasants to buy the things those Chinese peasants manufacture,”
We’ll all be fine. Our “peasants” will have the opportunity to make 15/hr+, if they choose, doing easy work while the Chinese will toil away in sweatshops for 2/hr.
We have elected politicians that are up to their bloodshot eyeballs in the party of the communists Chinese ... Some are even calling themselves Republican..
American peasants, it has a nice ring to it.
15/hr+? In today’s USA that is starvation wages.
Its interesting to see how simply limiting their access to the US market is treated as an assault on their sovereignty
The Chinese Communist Party thinks you are peasants , wait the democrats think the same thing ,LOL
Because the only US people the ChiComs deal with are the minority sellouts, Free Traitors™ and other globalist losers. So the ChiComs project that onto every American. We have bad leadership that doesn't really represent mainstream US citizens for the most part ( pre Trump ) and it causes distortions and BAD consequences for all.
desperation
I doubt it.

Han are 90% of the Chinese people. China is full of Han supremacists who consider all other peoples inferior and clowns. This Han supremacism extends into Han racism.
Han supremacism - 5000 years of the greatest, smartest, bestist civilization ever!.....
Though if they’re so smart, how come they did not come to North America before the Europeans? They would have had great new additional lands for the Han supremacists to crow about. For sure they would have been much more harsh on the Native Americans living here.
They sound like Democrats, how funny.
The Chinese Communist Party can sometimes be Comical .LOL
Who makes $15 an hour? My 20 year-old step-grandson makes over $20.00 an hour, complete with purple hair. He’s in training to be a manager and will make $25.00 an hour soon.
Even $20 hr will barley keep you fed and a roof over your head.
