April 8 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court blocked on Tuesday a judge's order for President Donald Trump's administration to rehire thousands of fired employees, acting in a dispute over his effort to slash the federal workforce and dismantle parts of the government.
The court put on hold San Francisco-based U.S. Judge William Alsup's March 13 injunction requiring six federal agencies to reinstate thousands of recently hired probationary employees while litigation challenging the legality of the dismissals continues.

How did Barrett come down on this one? I guess we’re going to be asking this question for the next two decades, she’s our current day version of Anthony Kennedy.
Looks like Chief Justice John (aka Rip Van Winkle) has finally awoken from his deep slumber and delirium.
Did someone give Roberts a cup of coffee to wake him up?
I’m pleased to see that at least one court, SCOTUS, is acting like there’s this thing called a Constitution, at least some of the time.
Nice to see the Supreme Court is getting involved , and battling against the lower courts interference, with the executive branch being able to do its job.
Order is here:

It appears Barrett sided with the majority on this one. Although I’ve just started reading the Order.
I think only Sotomayor and Jackson dissented this time.
“Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson, two of the court’s liberal justices, noted they dissented from the unsigned decision.”
“Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson, two of the court’s liberal justices, noted they dissented from the unsigned decision.”
Liberal Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson publicly dissented from the decision.
Barrett will side with the right on cases where her vote doesn’t matter so she can claim some deference to the constitution. Ditz thinks she’s clever.
She voted with the majority today. I guess the coin toss was in our favor on this one. Tomorrow, who knows?
Sotomayor and Jackson - the two Marxist DEI hires.
Robert’s doesn’t do anything without checking polls first, he is so politicized. And what did he see in the polls? That the American people are losing faith that our judicial branch rules by legal principles and is instead just a left wing activist branch where the law means nothing and feeling rule the day. Which is all true. So Robert’s (no doubt reluctantly) has to provide some appearance of non-partisanship in the courts.
Sounds like even SCOTUS is getting annoyed with these Judges.
I think i will actually read the dissent, curious to see how they justify it.
Same here.
More. Winning.
FIXED IT.
