JD Vance: Businesses That ‘Invest in America’ Will Be Rewarded
Breitbart ^ | 14 Mar 2025 | ELIZABETH WEIBEL

Vice President JD Vance announced Friday that businesses and corporations that invest in the United States “will be rewarded” with things such as having their taxes cut and would also benefit from decreasing regulations and energy costs.

At Vantage Plastics, a plastic manufacturing plant in Bay City, Michigan, Vance spoke about how the Trump administration’s “goal is to make it easier and more affordable to make things again” in the U.S.

“President Trump has been clear about his plan, about our administration’s plan — our goal is to make it easier and more affordable to make things again in the United States of America,” Vance said. “If you invest in America, in American jobs, in American workers and in American businesses, you’re going to be rewarded. We’re going to cut your taxes, we’re going to slash regulations, and we’re going to reduce the cost of energy and build things right here in this country that all of us love.”

Vance warned businesses and corporations that want to “undercut” the Trump administration and “build outside” of the United States that the Trump administration “has got nothing” for them.

“But, if you try to undercut us and build outside of our borders, President Trump’s administration has got nothing for you,” Vance said. “If you want to be rewarded, build in America. If you want to be penalized, build outside of America. It’s as simple as that.”

During Vance’s visit to the plastic manufacturing plant with Kelly Loeffler, the administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Vance also highlighted that there have been “nearly $2 trillion in announced investments in the U.S.” under the Trump administration, according to Spectrum News NY1.

As Breitbart News reported, General Electric (GE) Aerospace recently announced that they would invest nearly $1 billion into American manufacturing.

During his speech, Vance also criticized the Biden-Harris administration for having left Americans with a “terrible economy,” and “sky-high prices.” Vance also noted that “a lot of American families couldn’t afford to buy or to rent a home.”

Get rid of the corporate tax. Corporations don’t pay taxes. Income should be taxed at 1% while an amendment is eventually passed to eliminate it entirely.

Replace it with a national sales tax-the amount of which is to be negotiated every other year during election season.

Poor people will pay a bigger percentage of their income on subsistence. The good news is that they’ll have more say, either buying the cheaper stuff or going without things they don’t need. A 1% income tax can be used to figure out how much a negative income tax should be to subsidize the po’ folk.

This must be horrible news to the free traitors who supported our trade deals with China. After all, what’s more important? Bringing the jobs, technology, and the tax base back here, or saving $.10 on communist made paint brushes?

A better idea is that the federal government can only tax the gross tax receipts of the States. I don’t want the federal government ruling my life.

Hmmm...I’ll be curious to see if this has an influence on fishing lure prices. Many are made in China, but are not particularly cheap,

**Bringing the jobs, technology, and the tax base back here, or saving $.10 on communist made paint brushes?**
I dunno bout’ that one. Since equality stops at the waters edge(Milton Friedman) I say no more than a 10% trade surplus. If more the Chicoms should send use check. Too much dumping. Look at what the Japanese(Kawasaki) tried to do to Harley-Davidson in the 80’s.

**A better idea is that the federal government can only tax the gross tax receipts of the States. I don’t want the federal government ruling my life.**
Too complicated. The red states pay more due to more economic activity. Not fair.

It’s not racist to criticize living brain donors such as Biden

Oh, you mean all the unconstitutional and illegal things the gov't shouldn't be doing anyway?

I'm not convinced Vance gets it or gets our Free Constitutional Republic.

I think at his core Vance is a politician.

I think you're wrong!

J.D. Vance is an American First Vice-President and it shows in everything he does. There is a ton of evidence to support this conclusion.

I had some doubts, but he hid his Globalism well.

I know, however, that Pence, and Vivek would never take the stands that Vance has taken them and take those stands where he has.

Both come across much more like Politicians than Vance.

I say no more than a 10% trade surplus.

I'm all for fair trade, but not the one sided deals the free traitors gave us.

Look at what the Japanese(Kawasaki) tried to do to Harley-Davidson in the 80’s.

HD did it to themselves, or more correctly, AMF did it to them. I'm glad they were able to buy themselves out.
