Most of them are crooks. Both parties. Even if they aren’t crooks when the get there, they become crooked once there.

The political system runs on money: the party, campaigns, lobbying, PACs, litigation, media. Those that have the money, have the influence and power.

Not sure how to fix this entirely, but “term limits” would likely contribute in a positive way.
