Russian delegation member Ushakov: “The main thing is to begin a real normalization of relations between us and Washington.”

—> The negotiations are not about Ukraine, but about restoring relations with America!

Essentially Russia and America looking to restore relations and work together on global issues, which include: - Ukraine (obviously) - Middle East - Mediation with China - Mediation with Iran - Mediation with North Korea - BRICS and US relations - De-dollarization situation

Trump is well aware that Russia is catalyst and allied with many nations in the global south, and is needed for the settlement of many conflicts, if you want to avoid war … what Trump wants.

I heard Zelensky was going to play the piano and dance for the entertainment at the peace talks. 🤣

I’m glad you can afford $13 a dozen for eggs. This is all about money and power...fortune and glory. And until we get control of our problems we are not a lot better off than the countries mentioned. In the meantime we are a joke oversees.

Navy Patriot"Yes, Ukraine will get to pay for rebuilding the Breakaway Oblasts and Crimea."

Only if Ukraine retains sovereignty over those oblasts.

Then the money to pay for rebuilding will come from Russia's $350 billion in frozen assets.

Right?

OldHarbor: "User Clip: Biden Tells Story of Getting the Ukraine Prosecutor Fired"

Do you realize that those events happened years before Pres. Zelensky was elected, or was in politics in any way?

When Zelensky ran for president in 2019 (during Trump's 1st administration), it was on a platform of anti-corruption and closer ties to Europe.

Over the years since 2019, Zelensky has arrested and tried many of his own officials for corruption.
One result is a significant improvement in Ukraine's Corruption Perception Index since the days of Joe & Hunter Biden's influences there.

Russian propaganda aside, there are no serious suggestions that Zelensky himself is corrupt.

"The games haven’t even begun yet.
A lot of public posturing masking what is going on behind the scenes."

Totally agree.

My guess is along the following lines: Trump and Putin have already agreed on the basics of a cease-fire.
The effort now is to sell everyone else on what must happen, beginning with Russia's population.

  1. Russian's must feel like they won something, and that is why Trump goes out of his way to humiliate Zelensky & other Europeans.

  2. Europeans must step-up and provide a serious buffer-zone force between Russians and Ukrainians.
US forces will not move into Ukraine and will not withdraw from NATO.

  3. Even though Ukrainians will never officially recognize Russian annexation of Ukrainian oblasts, they will sign the minimum necessary cease-fire agreement.

  4. Ukrainians will de facto accept loss of some territories in exchange for permanent peace and EU membership.

  5. The amount of Russian-occupied land Pres. Trump is willing to negotiate returning to Ukraine will depend on Zelensky signing Trump's economic documents.

  6. The Euros will never return Russia's circa $350 billion in frozen assets and may use them to help rebuild Ukraine.

  7. Economic sanctions against Russia and normalization of relations with Russia will not begin immediately but will be tied to good behavior on Russia's part.

  8. In the longer run, Trump will attempt to negotiate a 50% reduction in military spending by Russia and China.
We'll see how that all works out.

Just my guesses, your results may vary.

The biggest problem that Leftists have is that they are hell bent on winning every single battle. They aren’t committed to the Truth. They don’t look anymore at other perspectives. They are stuck in their echo chambers. Thus, they are easy now to be blindsided.

Zelinskyy made the mistake of not understanding that things are really changing in America. The past 30 days have been a whirlwind. He had to have known that over 100 billion disappeared but kept quiet because the Deep State Leftists were running things. He may have thought he could get away with badmouthing Trump. I am sure he regrets this now.

The big Question now is what Putin will do. Will he agree to Trump’s plan? If he doesn’t then I expect he will release the 300 billion of sanctions seizure to Ukraine and impose real sanctions with teeth & stay out of the mess further, except yo isolate Russia from India, Vietnam, Turkey, others, and focus on America First.

In the meantime the 2 big focuses of Trump are: (a) careful litigation to Supreme Court & what will Amy and John do as DOGE continues on to try to do its Article 2 mission, (b) Elon needs to shift gears to remind the stray dogs on the Hill that primary season is coming & Trump needs his Big Beautiful Bill to pass the House. In every Congressional district having a dirty dog there are plenty of people who will work well with Musk/Trump. So far their focus has been on Senators in their advice/consent duties to deal with Cassidy, Murky, McCon, Collins up for reelection in a Blue state, and other challenging Senators.

Ukraine/Russia is a distraction for Trump. But he just needs to stay on message: end the stupid war and stop killing your vest/brightest Slav young people. Trump has a young half Slav of his own named Barron. I think Trump knows that Putin is a terrible mass murderer and not legit with his own people. Putin doesn’t believe in the rights of the people and he has a big pile of nukes.

I am all in for Trump, ever since 2015, but letting the Russian wolves carve up Ukraine is stupid beyond measure. This looks like the worst possible deal. But I must wait and see what the outcome is.

Pres DJT has three half-Slavic children from Ivana...Who was born in Czechoslovakia.
Then Ivanka marries Jared Kushner who is Jewish with grandparents from Belarus and Poland, Slavic nations.

For that to happen, Russia would have honor the agreement & give up on restoring its old Soviet borders.

Note: While Ukraine is held to a cease fire, Russia is not.

Could you list the agreements signed by Russia that they have actually honored?

“If eggs are $13/ dozen, you live in the wrong place”

You are correct. I was lookng at a graph of local prices and I priced the eggs from the wrong column. But it all is more expensive.

I live in Tacoma, Wa. The cost of living in Tacoma is 8% higher than the state average and 26% higher than the national average. To live comfortably in Tacoma, a single adult with no dependents should aim for a salary around $66,396 before taxes. Of the main priced needs, housing, utilities, groceries and transportation, only utilities is close to the national average. Everything else is a mininum of 11% higher than the average with housing being above the mason dixon line at 61%.

Zelensky is going into a cell. (Or worse.)

Let's wait a few months, and see who is right.

“And in response we and the EU also egged Ukraine into a nearly over the top, and definitely intractable and destructive, reaction.”

Such as... ?

“It was always a mistake to push Russia away when we should have tried to integrate them with Europe.”

Maybe if EU-nuchs were buying some gas from Russia it would be all fine ?

All the talk I hear is of European peacekeeping troops in a neutral zone to separate Russian from Ukrainian forces.

Another suggestion is that Ukraine will be forbidden from joining NATO until the day when Russian forces next cross Ukraine's borders.
Then Ukraine will automatically become a full NATO member.

We'll see.

You're right.

Ukraine will pay back their debts to the US.

Russian Nazis will be arrested and "weep" in their cells.

The most recent reports from Ukraine say that its opposition parties (notably Julia Tymoshenko) have united to denounce claims of Zelensky being a "dictator".
They will hold general elections as required by their Constitution and laws, when the war is over.

The UK also held no general elections during WWII, but did almost immediately after it ended, voting PM Winston Churchill out of office in July 1945.

However, they did not put Churchill in jail and did eventually reelect him as their Prime Minister, in 1951.
Churchill's reelection in 1951 resulted largely from increasing threats to post-war peace by Stalin's Soviet Union.

Ukraine will pay back their debts to the US.

The Borderlands called "Ukraine" will render their Natural Resources to the US as Tribute, the "citizens" or "government" of Ukraine will not pay a cent.

"Ukrainian citizens" may get work as miners or laborers to gather and ship those Natural Resources.

I note all the Spam you post, Zeeper, to support the Most Nazi People in the History of the World.

Good job of pushing Zelensky from The Rear!
