To complete this picture, Trump needs to also speed up the permit process for exploration and drilling. The EPA drags its feet on processing exploration and drilling permits. What can take months or years should be streamlined to a couple of days.

Is this the same land that Biden declared off limits at the end of his term? There was supposed to be something in the law backing up his EO that the president could declare land off limits but it required Congressional action to allow drilling again. That could have been BS or there may be a fight about that coming up.

Opening the land for drilling does not mean the drillers will take the risk of spending money when It can all be taken away on January 20, 2029
As I recall this land was open for leasing and not leased or drilled. We had a very excellent Freeper oil man who designed drilling pads that somehow didn’t get used.
He hasn’t been around in a while and I miss his knowledgeable posts
