How can this be BREAKING when i heard about it a day or 2 ago?
Their title, not mine
Kramer!
1-day old article, but the title has the word "Breaking" in the linked article, when it was breaking news. So perhaps FReeper etiquette says to use the linked article's title even if it's now a day old.
A Woodburn man accused of committing a multi-year crime spree pleaded guilty on Sept. 7 to arson, criminal mischief, unlawful possession of a destructive device and attempt to commit a class A felony.
Dustin Nehl, 24, was sentenced to five years in prison and three years of post-prison supervision following his conviction.
“climate educator”
Educate this, scumbag. 👊
I wonder if that was because they had a Halligan tool or two on their fire truck.
It is not a fake fre truck, it is an out of service “used “fire truck.
“Jennifer Nehl, formerly Jennifer Hastings, is an educator who focuses on teaching weather and climate to incarcerated youth”
So, indoctrination of a captive audience giving them something to use as an excuse for their criminal behavior, awesome. Who funds this caca?
One suspects that they were not at all there to “help”, as there are many, many ways to help, and impersonating legit firefighters is not one of them.
It was emblazoned with “Roaring River Fire,” had California plates, did not look quite right.
There is no “Roaring River Fire” in Oregon
It's breaking news to me since this is the first I've heard of it.......
So what's your point? News is news regardless of when it's posted.......Sheesh!
Arsonists and looters, it sounds like. Certainly worth further investigation, and aggressive prosecution if the evidence warrants it.
the couple as Dustin Nehl, 31, and Jennifer Nehl, 44. Mr. Nehl’s social media accounts say he lives in Woodburn, Oregon
.....
WOODBURN, oregon
It takes money to outfit a rig like that. Where’d the funds come from?
Still looks too good to be a logging firetruck. There is a Roaring River Wilderness area. Near Scio, one of her probable hometowns. Could be a privately owned vehicle. Many logging company’s own one, as they’re required on job sites. I’ve seen some that had to be hauled about on flatbed trailers, but they held water, and were technically “fire trucks.”
