There is a general theme visible, one of a large scale, perhaps described as unity; perhaps described as healing; perhaps described as a new era in Americanism. The Trump Doctrine (which few really understand) in combination with the cabinet assembly, is a great indicator of what lies ahead.
What President Ronald Reagan was to Generation X, President Donald Trump hopes to be for Generation Z; you can see it in everything he does. A transformative figure that changes the way the American people view and interact with government, with his own unique and modern twist on it. In essence, what will predictably described as 'the legacy of Trump'.

When Reagan gave amnesty to millions of illegal's, that pretty much sealed his legacy for me.
“Z” needs a corridor to ship goods. And he needs to revive a gas deal before the EU freezes to death. They had a sweet del from Russia which expires Dec 31st. Ukraine got paid as a vendor from everyone that imported gas via Ukraine’s lines. It was BIG bucks.
I’ve so missed the times during which we were Americans and not hyphenated Americans.
Are the Camps built yet?
Oh, please! And learn your apostrophe rules.
I’ve never known a time when we WEREN’T hypenated Americans. In the 50’s we always talked about Irish-Americans or Italian-Americans or Polish-Americans. But always with the promise that future generations would slowly stop being able to easily communicate with their grandparents and would know few words of the language of the country from which their families came.
I study American history a great deal. And everyone in the 1700s was divided by where their families originated, too. In New York, originally New Amsterdam, there was a heavy emphasis on whether your family came from Holland or Scotland or England or some point in between.
But then we all merged into the American melting pot and only wore green on St Patty’s Day and dyed the Chicago River green for the day.
For new legal immigrants, they’re still in the early stages before assimilation. The problem I think most are complaining about are the illegals who are afraid to integrate out of their communities for fear of being identified as illegal and being in danger of being deported. They look to those communities of people from their originating countries as protection they can be safely lost in.
There’s a very real issue of the average IQ of the illegals, and how that will impact their futures.
.
Since I hope they’re all returning to their originating countries, that won’t be our problem. But for the ones who aren’t the best and the brightest among our new legal immigrants, that’s why our military has long researched how you bring those people up to a well functioning position so that they could support our country at their level as well as someone more intelligent could support in a different position. The military got into programmed instruction educational experiments long ago, and that was good for the people after they left the service. I have full faith that we can teach people to be The Best That They Can Be.
His first job is to stay alive until the inauguration. You can bet that bad actors, domestic and foreign, will try to get him again.
Fascinating how that is worrying Putin, too.
Oh, please!
You approved of Reagan giving amnesty to millions who entered our country illegally?
??
people are tired of the tyrannical freak show...
“perhaps described as unity; perhaps described as healing”
Sure, now it’s the time to reach across the aisle.
Screw that. Screw unity! Screw healing! It is long past time to destroy the left once and for all.
We knew where our parents came from but we were all united pledging allegiance to the flag, etc. There’s nothing like the melting pot for exposure to the cuisine of so many ethnicities.
