Russia's Rostov region may be the next target for Ukraine's strikes with Western missiles - WSJ

Ukraine may direct its next strike with Western missiles at the Rostov region. There are many facilities there that could be a target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, reports The Wall Street Journal.

Russian airfields, ammunition depots, and training grounds are no longer safe after the allies gave Ukraine permission to hit targets in Russia. Hundreds of targets are now within range of missiles that are more powerful than the long-range drones used by Ukraine.

The Institute for the Study of War found about 200 military targets within range of ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles. ISW analyst George Barros notes that this is only a part of the targets. According to him, Ukraine can use intelligence data to attack headquarters and other facilities that change location.

--- "The Uniparty has ensured for itself TRILLIONS in bloated profits for the MIC with its newly minted, multi trillion dollar, generational Cold War."

Various claims made by Freepers, Zeepers, and now non-Zeepers (a new class for comments, apparently,) should be validated with a source which can be verified. May I?

"A Ukraine reconstruction bank being set up by Kyiv with help from BlackRock and JPMorgan Chase has at least $500 million in committed capital and could be ready to launch in 5-6 months with close to $1 billion, a senior Ukrainian official said on Wednesday.

" 'We have at least 500 million in commitments - I think it will be close to 1 billion commitments in catalytic capital,' Rostyslav Shurma, deputy head of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's office said. Catalytic capital refers to capital-like investments, debt and guarantees in which the investor accepts higher risk for greater social impact.

"Kyiv engaged BlackRock (BLK.N), opens new tab and JPMorgan (JPM.N), opens new tab last year to help set up a fund to raise public capital that could attract private investment for Ukraine's post-war reconstruction, estimated to cost hundreds of billions of dollars."

Pretty clever new term which has been introduced: "Catalytic capital refers to capital-like investments, debt and guarantees in which the investor accepts higher risk for greater social impact."

Personally, I don't want my capital to be switched into being "capital-like," but -- hey -- call me old-fashioned.

Agrees. Last year, we had a fine go-around wherein the argument was only some nations and interest groups do propaganda, while others don't. It was a ludicrous debate. Still is.

Best wishes.

That’s my main concern, a barrage of ATACMS at a Russian nuke plant. If a NATO missile caused a radiation catastrophe, I would assume there would be similar radiation catastrophes around Western Europe.

Have you been able to find battle damage images from the Oreshnik strike? When the warheads hit at MACH 15+ how far do they penetrate? In the video of the strikes you see impacts but no massive explosions or fires. Was the damage being done a hundred meters underground?

“Sentinel Satelite images are “clouded” artificially over #Dneprotpetrovsk so we can not see the extension of destruction of #Yuzhmash Mashinbuilding Plant that was maiking spacecraft, launch vehicles (rockets), liquid-propellant rockets back in USSR in #Oreshnik missile strike.

Yuzhmash does not exist. It was so bad that everyone raised their hands. How the Lord sent us his arrows. People went to the company to find out what happened - but he was simply not there. There are no workshops, only dust remains,” eyewitnesses say.“

Simply asking a question. Have seen Marcus, enemy number 1 post articles from similar non-Ukrainian sources with no comment and have the next posts all scream propaganda, spamming….

Just looking for some consistency

Oreshnik

They only made 10 of them - now only 9. Too few to be significant.

Trump could call Zelinsky today, and explain what his future looks like if he fires another long range missile into Russia. Only a complete fool who is mostly funded by the U.S. would ignore a warning from a U.S. President-Elect, regardless of what the current President is goading him into.

Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko speaking out against the plans of the Zelensky regime to “privatize” public holdings in agriculture and industry. Globalist “investors” including Blackrock are essentially the same as the “oligarchs” who took over much of Russia and Ukraine’s economies after the fall of the USSR. Zelensky has already met with Larry Fink of Blackrock, planning to sell off Ukraine for pennies on the dollar to people of his own ethnic group to the detriment of the Ukrainian people.

From Ukraine to the USA, we see the same nepotists engaging in harmful economic and financial schemes.

From July

Trump talked to Putin.

There will be no WW3.

However, there maybe very little of Ukraine left if they poke the bear harder.

You poke bear, bear will crush you.

With each long range missile launch at Russia, Russia gets more of Ukraine.

--- "Just looking for some consistency"

Is that accurate? You're looking for some consistency in threads? How about:

11/23/2024, 10:05:47 AM · 8,683 of 8,706 blitz128 to BeauBo On SpeedyInTexas' 11+-month long FR thread, begun 2/24/2024.
As to others as "enemy number 1," I haven't found any enemies per se within Free Republic. Opponents? Sure. Those who disagree with others? Sure. And many who simply disappear from a thread after a simple question is asked. "What's your source?"

As to "similar non-Ukrainian sources," this thread begins with a Ukrainian source:

About RBC-Ukraine

Curious what is your problem with the post you searched out and made as your example?
My point is/was that here is a thread started sometime ago, not put on the daily posts and yet folks who claim that the sanctity of FR is endangered by “zeepers” post regularly on this thread.

If posts like this are so offensive why post?

As to validity of sources, can you point to a single source that does not have biases or has been 100% accurate?

My opinion of what FR is, is a place where articles, sometimes vanity posts are presented to be discussed.

A discussion is not calling someone a zeeper or low IQ

My favorite is that because I support aid to Ukraine against Putins invasion that somehow means I am a xiden supporter. When I would respond that I do support aid to Ukraine, but I differ with how the aid has been sent and restrictions put on it, or that I supported the PACT act, and besides that am against xiden administration and dim policies what do I get?
Either crickets, grammar or spelling lessons or more name calling

That is not a discussion, but in full transparency I am not without fault and have drifted away from discussion to insults when frustrated. So I am not without sin 😂

My guess is Western Ukraine will be next...hit the top-knot-nazis where they live.

And yet another fascinating response.

To your points and the vocabulary you've chosen:

1) I am not "offended." Your choice of verb is yours.

2) You ask, "As to validity of sources, can you point to a single source that does not have biases or has been 100% accurate?"

Every source shows bias -- confirmation bias and the like. My observation is merely that many cite by a seeming quote without sourcing the quote, and some quotes are not easily or ever found via a number of search engines.

3) You state, "A discussion is not calling someone a zeeper or low IQ."

Agreed. What your statement shows is that much is not discussion. Posting images without sourcing them is one such form on non-discussion. Accusing someone of having a "low IQ" is not discussion, as well. Name calling? I've had that sort of "discussion" aimed my way rather often. "Your Putin" and the like is not discussion, is it?

4) One can be pro-Zelensky, it is obvious. One can be anti-Zelensky's government -- now martial law -- and still hugely sympathetic to the plight of Ukrainians. One can be most concerned about the massive US debt and how it relates to war in adding to the debt. One can think -- as did SpeedyInTexas -- that the debt is not a problem, all the while citing Paul Krugman and the NY Times as economic advice. And certainly, one can wish for nuclear war, as some heated rhetoric has held.

As to what you "get" in threads, that is between you and others. I refrain generally from saying someone is "stupid." An idea can be stupid, and that is another matter. But, as I recall and only for me, I haven't called you "low IQ" and the like.

5) You write, "...in full transparency I am not without fault and have drifted away from discussion to insults when frustrated. So I am not without sin."

Agreed, for I am a sinner among sinners in a world of sin. I haven't met any who are "without sin," and, in full transparency, Having been called "evil" by a "religious professional" and more, including a "Putinista," I understand being lured away from discussion and debate. What I take from this exchange is that one should seek for clarity, sourced information, debate and discussion. Perhaps then I am not among those whom you term "the usuals?"

Great reply
Will add one thing I had a running “debate” with one person who took exception to people posting links, said it was wrong to post links because they were monetized and simply posting an excerpt was enough.

I argued that all media sites are monetized and without context to verify the excerpt was not valid.

Got another shut up on that one lol
