President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday nominated his transition team co-chair Linda McMahon for his Education Secretary.
McMahon, who led the Small Business Administration (SBA) during Trump's first term in office, has been a major Republican donor for decades, and previously ran to represent Connecticut in the Senate in 2010 and 2012. She is also the co-founder of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), alongside her husband Vince McMahon, CNN reported.
The former Trump administration official is also the board chair of the pro-Trump think tank America First Policy Institute.
The announcement comes after Trump nominated his other transition co-chair Howard Lutnick for Commerce Secretary.
"I am thrilled to announce that Howard Lutnick, Chairman & CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, will join my Administration as the United States Secretary of Commerce," Trump announced. "He will lead our Tariff and Trade agenda, with additional direct responsibility for the Office of the United States Trade Representative."

This does not sound promising to end the DoEd - that is unless it’s just for show for the coming months.
I guess Liz Devis didn’t want to reclaim that position. She was education secretary for Trump the first time.
She seemed quite dedicated.
The DoEd. needs to experience a TKO.
And why is there no notification that this stuff is coming from The Office of the President Elect?

OTOH, it doesn’t seem like Linda McMahon has tons of college degrees and close ties to teachers’ unions. So she might not have any interest in retaining the DoEd.
It doesn’t say “Office of the President Elect” like 0bama did.

Just a reminder: According to our constitution, education is under the jurisdiction of the states. The federal government was given no control over education to the states.
The states gave up their power when they began accepting money and federal mandates!
