There was an AP History teacher at my high school that absolutely went off on a student one time. But, he did it as an object lesson in McCarthy’s tactics in the HUAC hearings, and he’d cleared it with the student, beforehand. It rattled the rest of the class.

This guy is just an ass.

Reminds me of a teacher I had for Logic and Argumentation who laid out a convincing case for the legalization of murder. It shocked the class and made a couple of girls cry. He was just demonstrating how powerful logic and reason can defend just about anything.
