I think a majority of Americans agree we need election reform of the kind Vivek envisions.

I’m against adding ANOTHER federal holiday though. But if it meant we get ID requirements, paper ballots, and ONE DAY OF VOTING, I could get past my distaste for another holiday.

By the way, almost every European country does it this way.

Cancel some other useless federal holiday. Make Election Day a national holiday and that’s it. You show up, you show government issued photo ID and you vote on pieces of paper.

Make sure multiple parties have a meaningful right to observe and challenge each ballot that is counted.

Challenged ballots to be determined by a committee composed of members of multiple political parties.
