They don’t have the votes to pull it off.
It’s funny, though, that Democrats want the Wise Latina Woman to get out of the way so they can replace her with someone maybe basically competent.
The leftists will stomp over anyone anytime for any reason.
They have zero humanity.
I would think that there might not be a a quorum if her replacement came up for vote before Jan 21.
Well, at least they are only calling on her to retire, instead of hoping that she shuffles off this mortal coil before January 20.
Hopefully she’ll retire on January 21st.
Save the Wide Latina!
Instead... She’ll be just like her hero RGB and wait around for Trump to appoint her successor... LOL
Pardon.. RBG... LOL
No filibuster for judicial nominations. They could do it.
And they can’t kill the filibuster with a R majority coming in January.
Wide Latina
Isn’t that Assuming that Joe Manchin or Kristen Sonoma or whatever the hell her name is, would go along with it?

Merrick Garland?
No, they don’t have the votes to pull it off. Even if they were crazy enough to attempt it, it would be political suicide after this trouncing.
Not sure. The dems are saying they’ll support the smooth transition which means vetting Trump’s major cabinet appointments. Stopping that to appoint a new SCOTUS Justice could be a bridge too far by Jan 3.
Garland is finished in Dem politics. There’s a lot of columns from left-wing opinion makers angry at him for not moving faster against Trump during Biden’s term.
