With all the angst about Section 230 I've seen from conservatives, it is very interesting to see the direction flip all they way to the fascist left, bitching that these companies haven't drilled their opposition into the ground sufficiently. There does need to be a remedy for the latitude these companies enjoy to manage their content editorially, thus suppressing the right, but to do so would demand a degree of honest thoughtfulness and vision one cannot rightly expect of Congress.

Crappy situation.

The entire point of 230 is that they are NOT supposed to be have editorial control like a newspaper or TV station. They are protected by 230 because they are supposed to be like the phone company, a completely neutral channel.

If they want editorial control, they do not deserve lawsuit protection.
