Radical leftist president of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva used his opening speech to the U.N. General Assembly Tuesday to condemn the government of Israel for allegedly seeking “revenge” against Hamas terrorists and to defend widespread censorship of conservatives.
Brazil opens the speeches at the General Assembly every year, a tradition that began in 1955 when Brazil’s leaders offered speak first as other countries hesitated.
Lula began his speech, the second since he took office for a third term in January 2023, by making special mention of the Palestinian delegation and welcoming the presence of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. The objective of policies like global taxation is to make the products produced in highly taxed socialist economies cost the same as those from non-socialized economies. Because the “benefits” allegedly provided by socialism are hugely expensive, those countries have value added taxes. Here, products are taxed upon sale. The copper ore, Transportaion, the manufacture, are (more or less) tax free. The final item, say, a toaster, is taxed once. Let’s say it’s fifty bucks. The same toaster, with every component taxed before it sells, then the sales tax, may be $100. Taxing everybody by country eliminates the advantage of not being socialist. It will force those countries to become socialist. It’s about the revolution. They will never, never stop until we are dead. (Wait. That might have been about the terminator.)
How did Brazilians ever elect this bag of crap? Or did they? Looking at you, WEFCIAderpstate
