One point in Pennsylvania is too close but one point nationally is really very good.
The insiders in the Democratic Party are telling Kamala, don’t worry Trump will be in jail soon and even you can defeat a guy running for POTUS from jail.
I believe the Judge in NY will remand Trump to jail immediately and he will be sent to Rikers Island and all the pictures of him handcuffed and being led away plus Trump in a prison uniform will be on display on every news outlet in America.
I hope I’m wrong, but the Democrats are capable of anything, when the assassination attempt didn’t work, the next best thing is to lock him up in prison.

Without a doubt most Democrats were disappointed the shooter missed in Butler, PA. It’s therefore very easy to assume that they will positively view the incarceration of Trump, who is essentially tied or winning in the polls. Democrats will take the win no matter how it is delivered.
Newsweek is so full of crap. I see stories on a daily basis putting one candidate ahead of the other. They rotate who is “winning” to generate clicks.

If that idiot judge puts Trump in jail, that will incense even the most moribund of voters to vote for him..........

Trump should hold the Fox debate with an empty podium. Then he should ask the crowd for people to fill in. An impersonator comedian can come in and do the Kamala part. Everyone will watch it. It would be great. And it would teach them a lesson. Don’t refuse the other debates. Thats what they want. Kamala does not want to do any debates. Maybe their best shot is to do one with a lot of gotchas where the commentator helps her attack Trump. That way she can appear presidential with the least effort and risk.
She’s a drinker so her memory is shot. She can remember a few one liners. But thats it. Her brain is toast. She will try to use stats that are false. Trump just has to tie her to California. And when she says there is no crime there or crime is down. He just has to say. Because people are hiding in their houses. Because stores have moved out. Because nobody bothers to report crime anymore. The people of California know there is runaway crime. Government stats like inflation is down or boarder crossings are down need to be combated with, The American people know differently. Or tell that to the American people.
You would think an attempted assassination attempt on Trump would swing a few votes, the MSM and has dropped coverage of that event like a plague.
The Democrats would celebrate Trump going to jail, the MSM would justify everything and in the end the effect on the outcome of the election would probably not be that big.
To the democrats, anything that takes Trump off the stage would be a good thing....in their world if he’s dead or in jail makes no difference, he’s not running anymore either way.
Maybe he could debate empty chair Clint Eastwood?
You don’t have to immerse yourself in the tiny details of polling to understand why some say up and some say down.
Here is some information to slow down the people who say “Trump is only down 1% and he scored several % above the last 2020 polls, and 2016 polls, in actual vote counting.”
That bit of perspective only works if you believe polling techniques have not improved. If they have, then being behind would not be okay.
That is the negative perspective.
The positive perspective can be seen in CBSNews. They explicitly said they oversampled blacks when she first appeared, meaning oversampled them above their particular turnout model. Then just a day ago they removed that sentence from their final paragraph of their very latest survey. But you can go to RCP’s polling page and scroll way down to see not just the latest polls, but some from weeks past — of the same poll. That’s where you find CBS changing how they measure, flip flopping.
In other words, poll results are determined by who that pollster allows to stay in the sample, in order to conform to their turnout model. And so the electorate doesn’t change. The pollster does.
She’ll get a dead-cat bounce after the convention.
