It was a shot from above that killed would-be assassin Thomas Crooks at a July campaign rally where he almost murdered President Donald Trump.
But it was a shot from below that took Crooks out of action first, according to a congressional report ...
And that shot, fired by a local law enforcement sniper, was incredible.

It did not kill Crooks but struck the stock of his rifle and “fragged his face/neck/right shoulder area from the stock breaking up.” The shot is also believed to have disabled the rifle’s buffer tube, a critical component in the weapon’s cycling function.

The two photos I saw were close ups of his face. Both times it was the exact same one. I think one of the times it was on X. The other might have been on a thread at FR. I do know others on FR have seen the same photo because they have described it the same way.

If he is only wearing the command cap, and he served in that command, I am not sure that is an issue.

I saw a cop on tv hosing down the roof with a water hose the same day or next.

Once photo’s and measurements are taken. Samples taken not much to be gain leaving body matter to rot away.

I think so
The professional hitman who claims he fired the fatal head shot of JFK (James Files) had to make a “go no go” decision in less than a second—under extreme stress. In that exact moment Files was placed under further stress because a shot from the rear (from another shooter) hit the back of JFK’s head at the exact moment Files was pulling the trigger—and JFK’s head was starting to move forward.
The real world has a way of making even professional assassins work difficult.
In the case of Butler PA if President Trump had not turned his head he would be dead.
Imho the plot also failed because a shooter from the water tower area (trees nearby?) missed the counter-snipers with the first shot. That meant they could not join the crossfire which almost certainly would have killed President Trump.
All plans can fail—regardless of the skill of the participants.
