It was a shot from above that killed would-be assassin Thomas Crooks at a July campaign rally where he almost murdered President Donald Trump.
But it was a shot from below that took Crooks out of action first, according to a congressional report ...
And that shot, fired by a local law enforcement sniper, was incredible.

It did not kill Crooks but struck the stock of his rifle and “fragged his face/neck/right shoulder area from the stock breaking up.” The shot is also believed to have disabled the rifle’s buffer tube, a critical component in the weapon’s cycling function.

After seeing video of the scene from afar (i.e., not the closeup media shots live), it struck me how it looked as though he did get hit a 2nd time, just as you suggest.
We still haven’t seen a full report of a complete investigation on the event.
This ‘drip, drip, drip’ BS is pissing me off.
But only 5 shell casings.
Such a joke, these ‘investigations’ and ‘drip-drip-drip’ reports.

Personally if this had happened to me and it had been shown to be the clown show and probable hit that it probably was, I would be out for F’ing heads.
No way in hell would I not be saying anything. Beyond that theres no way I would trust the same agency to protect me and my family.
How can we trust any report when all the evidence has been discarded?

I haven’t heard one word from that dufos acting SS director after 3 weeks ago he said he would immediately make all the SS agents there that day available to the senate for questioning.
Why the news blackout on any further developments?
All of Congress is on vacation until mid-Sept. Media focused on DNC convention.....Trump almost took a direct head shot on live tv....and no one has been fired.
Since ordinary folks could see Crooks from the ground, I wondered why LE officers couldn’t see/shoot him from the same location. Sounds like they could.
If they can't work Summers they should quit and become teachers.

I’ve seen that same video. One has to pause it to see that dark shape. Even though it’s quite a distance it’s obvious that someone was up there.

This line certainly raises some questions.... “It did not kill Crooks but struck the stock of his rifle and “fragged his face/neck/right shoulder area from the stock breaking up.” There of course were some pictures of the body and the gun posted earlier but when reviewing these, it didn’t seem that the pictures were all that consistent with this description.
Has anyone seen better pictures of the gun than the ones found at this link or associated with the SS agent on the roof? Does that stock look to be broken up?

One other thing.... there have been pictures posted where Crooks looks like the side of his right knee took a bullet and this can be seen on the pictures at the Daily Mail link. How does the description of the shots Crooks received explain the knee injury?
I wondered why the rifle was so far away from the body in the photos.

I have a guy at work who worked in space operations staring at a scope, but he has a full beard, long hair, and Spec Ops ball cap...in an office building.
Trump said the SS took his shoes off. There is video of a male agent taking Trump’s shoes in hand, turning and throwing them off the stage. Why? To delay him getting off stage and tip toeing slower walking across rough ground? The female agent stooped down to pick up his MAGA cap leaving his upper body exposed. The shoe guy must have also left Trump exposed. Those two need questioned.
Tee hee, Trump had a hole in his sock.
