Donald Trump and Kamala Harris dead even in battleground states amid wide gender gap: poll

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are effectively dead even where it counts — the battleground states, according to a new poll.

Mirroring the polling group’s findings from a separate survey released earlier this month, both presidential contenders scored 50% apiece in the battleground states, per a CBS News/YouGov survey released Sunday.

Harris, 59, came away with the lead in a national head-to-head matchup between the pair 51% to 48%, which marks an uptick from her prior 50% to 49% edge over him in the prior survey.

Strikingly, 36% of voters felt that they don’t know what Harris stands for, compared to 64% who do, while 14% were unsure what Trump, 78, stands for, compared to 86% who do, per the poll

***

In Pennsylvania, Trump scored 50% to Harris’ 50%, Michigan (48% to 49%), Wisconsin (49% to 49%), Nevada (48% to 50%), Georgia (50% to 48%), Arizona (50% to 49%), and North Carolina (50% to 48%).

***

Translated into the Electoral College map, if those numbers held, that would mean Trump would get roughly 262 electoral votes compared to Harris’ 247, with the rest tossups.

***

Along gender lines, 45% of men favored Harris, compared to 54% who preferred Trump, while 56% of women wanted Harris, compared to 44% who selected Trump.

***

Top issues for voters include the economy (83%), inflation (76%), state of democracy (74%), crime (62%), gun policy (58%), US-Mexico border (56%) and abortion (51%).

***

For voters who called the economy a major factor in their decision, 56% went to Trump, compared to 43% for Harris.

The same was true with inflation (61% for Trump, 38% for Harris) and the border (76% to 24%). Harris was ahead on abortion (69% to Trump’s 30%) and on safeguarding democracy (57% to 42%).***

The election will come down to the Republicans’ inability to stop voter fraud. Democrats are openly registering illegal aliens at the DMV and sending their ballots to post office boxes and sites where they gather them and fill them out. There is zero mechanism at the state level to stop this from happening, particularly when Democrats control many of those tight race states. We have a massive voter fraud issue in this country and there seems to be little appetite or ability to stop it.

black demographics, which are usually a big deal in polling, isn't represented in the poll numbers at all

That's telltale.

I will say it again. This election will be decided by white suburban women.

I do not believe this is true.

This election will be decided by margin-of-cheat in six Democrat-controlled cities of so-called "battleground states". Just like the 2020 "election".

These are: Phoenix AZ, Atlanta GA, Philadelphia PA, Minneapolis MN, Detroit MI, and Chicago IL.

The notion that "Trump rally turnouts are bigger than Harris rally turnouts" will mean nothing at all to the final outcome. It is possible that actual voter turnout will mean nothing to the final outcome as well.

If Republicans can curb the traditional massive vote fraud in Philidelphia and Detroit, while limiting the vote fraud in Atlanta, the Trump campaign has a very good chance of success.

White women voters will support Trump at about the 48 percent level. That is not going to change very much. The key votes for Trump must come from turnout of White men and Black men and Hispanic men.

Pounding strictly economic issues can work to get men to vote for Trump. They must hit those items hard and first, but still couple them with personal criticisms of Harris and Waltz.

For women, the emotional issue that may work is that most women instinctively hate other women in positions of authority over them. Kamala is a very unpleasant boss who has turned over 95 percent of her personal staff since she became Vice President. This is not normal for any executive position.

Do you really want such a nasty shrew as Kamala Harris to be the boss over you? The Trump campaigners can use this kind of approach to some good effect.

These days it is getting very difficult to impossible to get a valid sample to conduct an accurate poll.

Very few people have a land-line phone ( that was the golden ticket to a valid sample) and few people will take a call from a poll on their cell phone that has led to more pollsters to depend on on-line polls to get their samples. On-line polls have a real question about the validity of their sample.

With that in mind, don’t gag yourself every single day on the worst poll number you can find and understand that polls today are just an educated guess, nothing more.

Not only telltale, it's the third rail. It's why all the shills are making this all about women voters.

Magician - Look at all of these disgruntled women voters, but don't pay any attention to the black voters leaving the Dems like never before.

The purpose of the polls with Harris doing so well is to create plausible deniability when the election is stolen for her.

Consider Hilary in 2016. Enough fellow women voted against her and for Trump to derail her despite demographic raw numbers advantage by women. And Hilary, for all her many faults was certainly seen as stronger on security issues for the average voter than Kamala Harris ever will be able to be.***

The Dobbs decision, which I wholeheartedly agree with, changes everything. The visceral reaction to this decision, being women lost a fundamental right, will compel many white suburban women to vote for Democrats. [ Abortion is not a fundamental right. However, a lot of misguided women FEEL that it is]

Nov 6 is poll day.

If only that were the case. Early voting kicks off on September 16- Pennsylvania being the earliest state (Commonwealth).

Well then I guess men do not need to vote, according you you it is all desided by white suburban women, Blacks, Men, Asians, countrygirls well all just useless.

Take your claptrap elsewhere, your comments amount to inane drivel and senseless musings.

No one group decides an election, to think so is childlike thinking.
