I wonder what her reaction was when she learned that Waltz was going to be her running mate.
Shapiro or even Beasher would have hurt the GOP, would have showed she is trying to bring in those from the center, but with this pick, it shows without a shadow of a doubt that if God forbid they win, it would be the most far left, anti Israel administration EVER..there would be NO borders, we would become the UK in less than a year
I can’t believe they left the decision to her alone. Anyway I have strong doubts she’ll be the one actually running for president. I expect it’ll be Big Mike and someone else. We’ll see tho…with the dems it’s anyones guess.
I bet she had a lot of Democrats calling her not to pick Shapiro because he's Jewish.
Obviously, Harris felt like she had no choice.
If that turns out to be true, makes you wonder how Shapiro is feeling. The Party is too antisemitic to nominate him as the VP.
The wheels just came off the campaign....................
Manipulated.
As if Gigglebunny was allowed to choose a VP herself...
I can’t believe they left the decision to her alone.
Manipulated.
Agree, and agree. But what’s the logic behind it? She isn’t radical enough to insure the radical vote?
Walz may have been the only person interested in being Kamala’s VP. No one else with any sense was interested in the job.
Voters won’t decide this election.
They didn’t the last time.
Real votes don’t matter.
All that matters is who counts the votes.
That's a tight corner you've painted yourselves into.
If she had picked Shapiro she would have kissed Michigan goodbye.
yep
It was Kamala’s decision. Yeah, right. She doesn’t decide anything if she knows what’s good for her.
I was listening to CNN a few minutes ago driving home from the airport. They had Ramaswammy on, giving time for his take on this choice. Also, he seemed to be dissing Trump and Vance, confirming they’ve had a couple bad weeks. How so?
Harris hasn't yet shown she is a viable candidate against Trump. Oh, the needle moved, but only due to the actions of the media and the party. Harris hasn't demonstrated she can move the needle, much less maintain it. With this move this morning, the Dems have to know that their socialist ticket has little chance of beating Trump ... but now they've set up an "August Surprise" that will start in the next few days, ahead of the convention that begins on the 19th.
-- This weekend/early next week Biden announces he's done (or he's otherwise removed). Harris assumes the office.
-- After a day or two, Harris (or, better, the party) announces that it is not humanly possible for Harris to function as President with all that's going on in the country and around the world (all Trump's fault, of course) and mount an effective campaign at the same time. So she must turn down the formal nomination at the convention (yeah, I know the media say she's the nominee; but actually she's the presumptive nominee until the convention, just as was Trump).
Although the fractured Democrat base will be furious and although they won't accept it at first, they will eventually come to understand why she can't do both; and the base will perhaps even like the idea of selecting a better candidate at the convention. (Whether or not Walz remains on the ticket is irrelevant as he is expendable and the Dems have Minnesota locked up anyway.)
-- Who they'll nominate remains to be seen as even the big players like Newsom, Whitmer and a handful of other socialists biding their time to 2028, and who have been loathe to run this year as they would likely end up with a "loser" reputation for 2028, may be interested because, even when they lose, they would come across as heroes for stepping up when the party needed them, even if they don't stop Trump (too little time to campaign; too late to overcome Trump's momentum, etc., etc.)
If you think this sounds far-fetched or even crazy, bear in mind that the Dems don't concede elections (which this morning's move can be incorrectly interpreted as a concession of sorts), and they sure as hell don't like losing their power. Agreed: This would be the "hail mary" of all "hail marys" ... but as we all know, desperate Democrat/Socialists will do anything and everything to win. Cheers!
As if she decides anything.
