May be anti-police but could be that he is tired of hypocrisy of police breaking the same laws they enforce on others. As examples I have seen online, police personal cars parked on sidewalks because rather than in legal spaces or in garages as others in New York are forced to pay for. If a civilian did the same, police would ticket and tow the cars. Having a badge is not a license to break the law.

Once many years ago in my hometown of Longview, TX I was sitting at a traffic light. I saw a cop pull up to the light. Instead of waiting for the light to change, he just turned on the lights on his roof long enough to go through the light. I guess he was in a hurry.
