The left is well aware of the effect the assassination attempt on voters. This is simply more of an attempt to diminish the actual act as insignificant instead of the life threatening action we all witnessed.

The only people stupid enough to buy into this BS are already voting for the left.

You'll recall that almost immediately after the shooting, the Left's harpies were casting aspersions to the reality of an attempted assassination. They generally seemed to glom onto the idea that Trump would stage this for his benefit, as if it was all theatrics.

That was definitely a quick response time on the Harpies' part, e.g., the View and social media. My wife knew about it within the hour. That sure sounds like the fakery message was almost certainly prepped in advance!

From all we've seen from the USSS, their higher ups--particularly Cheatle--were anything but positively disposed toward colluding to feature PDJT in a good light.

They are desperately trying to minimize the horrific tragedy on that fateful day but because they keep trying to minimize it they are in fact causing a Streisand effect.
