>>I still remember when John Hinckley shot Ronald Reagan, they acted as if it was not serious but his wound was very near his heart.
Yes, I remember that. I never knew till years later how serious Reagan’s injury was. But in this instance, Trump appears to have dodged a bullet, both figuratively and literally. There were no other bullets that hit him. The only question is whether or not he’s suffering from any indirect effects caused by the concussive force of the gun shot.
There are other possible indirect effects. The incident was a psychological shock, flooding the system with adrenaline and cortisol, etc. Trump is a tough guy, but he’s 78.
IMHO he is at risk from a heart problem or a stroke, or metabolic problems as a result.
1) The “latest” 22lr bullet lodged in President Reagan contained a tiny silvery cylinder of explosive. (Lead azide in “Devastator” cartridges).
2) A highly-resourceful friend sent a “burst” series of pix featuring President Trump’s right ear.
(”Dave” knows everything about firearms—I just do the microscope part)
In slow motion, an actual bloodless hole is easily seen in one of the frames. The hole is in the middle of the upper, featureless, outer ear. Viewed from President Trump’s right side, it appears in the 11 o’clock position.
