At a CNN town hall in May 2023, Trump said: “They’re dying, Russians and Ukrainians. I want them to stop dying. And I’ll have that done — I’ll have that done in 24 hours.” He said that would happen after he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
We shall see.

I spoke with @realDonaldTrump
to congratulate him on the Republican nomination and condemn the shocking assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. I wished him strength and absolute safety in the future.
I noted the vital bipartisan and bicameral American support for protecting our nation’s freedom and independence.
Ukraine will always be grateful to the United States for its help in strengthening our ability to resist Russian terror. Russian attacks on our cities and villages continue every day.
We agreed with President Trump to discuss at a personal meeting what steps can make peace fair and truly lasting.

What People tend to forget is that Donald Trump sat in the pew of Norman Vincent Peale’s Church soaking in all that Power of Positive Thinking. If Trump keeps saying he can solve the issue, then after awhile, all sides believe it can be done and a deal is made. It may not happen in 24 hours, but at least the outlines of a deal will be made within that period of time.
