Or most likely, Biden will withdraw from campaigning for "reasons of health". That won't even be a lie. He will still pretend to be President though. He won't resign or be removed. Harris is too uncontrollable to be allowed in that office.
An "open convention" will place two much more attractive candidates in nomination. Hardly anybody will have heard of them before.

An open convention is a possibility if Biden lasts that long. The dems will try to get their ducks in a row before the convention.
Think about it. Who would really be fighting for Joe Biden? The only possible fight could be over his replacement but I don’t see anyone except the sitting black VP prevailing.
The only battle is over the new VP pick.
