Just so you know.....tha officer who hung there was standing on the shoulders of another officer...there was no ladder.
A real pissing contest between SS & local law .
The much maligned Officer Doughnut undoubtedly saved President Trump’s life.
The Secret Service has the sole responsibility for protecting Mountaineer. The cannot delegate that responsibility to local police. They can ask for logistical support from the local police, but if anything goes South it is on them.
It falls directly to the SS. They were in charge. The SS should be held accountable and take responsibility for their actions (or non-actions). Blaming everyone else is what libtardia does.
We need to knock off the blame, strictly do lessons learned, and LEARN THEM.
People need their jobs and are likely very competent. Mistakes may have been made and they need to prevent those again. Finding scape goats gets everyone hiding and silent. We need to prevent this kind of ‘lucky’ incident from ever happening.
We still don’t know all the details but its clear that the SS were supposed to be in charge. Thus I see no reason to blame locals right now.
The Ted Baxter report
I don’t think anyone is blaming local law enforcement.
ThIs was a SS failure - Trump clearly got assigned the C team.
The question is whether or not that was done out of negligence, contempt or malice.
I suspect it was malice, but regardless - those responsible should hang.
I almost agree. They most certainly were unwittingly used, for sure.
Somebody was in charge of the perimeter and the assets assigned to each spot.
Who is that person?
Everyone needs to back off the local LEOs the Secret Service is responsible and nobody should be pointing at the locals unless or until it is proven they dropped the ball.
The command and control of the SS is to blame. That fact that they have tried to blame it on someone else is disgusting.
