That amounts to saying that the bad guys never use hitmen because of the risk of being caught.

It is more likely that this was a "2 shooter" scenario: one to take the shot, the other to take the fall. Once the corpse of the fall guy is found, any real investigation stops. Maybe the sniper took the shot from inside the building, and hid while the return fire killed the "fall guy". Since this was planned at the highest level with a huge investment of resources, it makes no sense that the success of the operation would depend on a mentally disturbed punk with no real experience.

The "2 shooter" scenario has been proposed for previous events, and was always dismissed as a "conspiracy theory". That is what it is: a theory of how this obvious conspiracy was set up.

Oswald was the patsy in the JFK shooting. There were obviously multiple shooters . This Crooks guy is the patsy here.

There was another shooter , a Deep State hitman, that could not believe their luck when Trump turned his head.

Crook and his range finder, rifle and ladder, plus climbing on top of the cop shop was all allowed to take place because the patsy “had” to be place, no matter what.
