The judge issued a 98 page tsunami opinion when she ruled, expecting an appeal, and destroying it in advance.
Some big wins recently!
She has a pretty solid argument he was never ‘appointed’; and Smith’s arguments to Section 509 & 510 of US code only apply to current appointed attorneys
A judge that respects the constitutional precepts of the Republic is a rare commodity these days.
She’s not stupid. She released her decision when id will be buried on Page B23 and get a 20 second blurb 18 minutes in on World News Tonight.
H/T numberonepal
The process is the punishment, conviction, dismissal matters somewhat but Trump went through this regardless and that is what they wanted
The dismissal is a win, but they got a lot out of it, they will say dismissal is not innocence
There are only two options
That Garland, the top LEO officer in the USA and former candidate for SCOTUS, didn’t imagine that Courts would use this obvious argument when looking at a historical prosecution of a former President. In that case, he’s a total idiot
OR
He did know it, and proceeded anyway - because he was running a month’s long headline generating media psyop, and election-interference campaign?
Who I sue to get our millions of taxpayer’s dollars spent on this illegal action?
Trump should get attorney fees and damages.
Merrick Garland is still seething from his failed attempt to become a Supreme Court Justice. Mitch McConnell refused to take up Garland’s nomination after Justice Scalia passed away. McConnell has many negatives, but his defense of the Supreme Court, and the placement of 300+ Federal Judges during President Trump’s first term is crucial to the survival of the Republic. Even the 9th Circuit is now ruling in common sense and constitutional ways. It used to be known as the 9th CIRCUS because it was a most overturned Court in the land.
I hope Judge Cannon has good protection.
Alright! A big win going into the convention.
