If Trump’s legal fees for all of the bogus cases would be reimbursed to him, then it would be in effect free campaign PR for him. He’s gotten more popularity from the persecution than spending money campaigning would have gotten him. So bonus points if his persecution costs are reimbursed.
Yes, if this turns out to be a wrongful prosecution by both Supreme Court ruling and improperly appointed prosecutor, it does seem that all legal fees need to be reimbursed. That won’t make Trump whole, but it would help. And the PR is valuable but the damage is still done.
