Every once in a while I have dreams of owning a 40+ length sailboat an island hopping the Caribbean. Then I get reminded of stories like this why not to.

The best thing about a boat is, if things are not looking good one place, you can just up anchor and sail away.
That is the whole reason we came up with boats.

You need to follow your dream and do it…just go between Oct - Mar. the seas and weather is outstanding, and you won’t sweat through your clothes every day. Just stay away from populated areas, and stay armed.
