Next question by Doocy to the African lesbian spokeschick: What was the difference between the so-called cheap fakes and what we saw last night?”

Most people don’t realize the party does not pick the candidate. The voters pick the candidate. Some states only allow party members to vote on their party ticket. Some states allow cross voting, so democratic voters in those states could cross over to the Republican side and vote for a loser candidate as the Republican nominee.

The Democratic party can only pick the candidate if it is too late to have a primary and the voter-picked candidate dies. I’d recommend that Biden hire a food taster and also have someone else taking samples of his meds. He should avoid stairs while with potential replacements.

They’re in a trap because it means Kamala will be running for President now.

Not. Presidential conventions can amend their rules, and allow delegates selected by a state's presidential primary to vote for a nominee other than the winner of the primary. Generally they have to vote for the primary winner only on the first ballot.

Such a rule-changing vote is permissive only - delegates can still vote for the winner of their states' primaries if they want to, but they don't have to.

IMO Biden will officially drop out of the race before the Democratic national convention, release his delegates to vote for whoever they want so such a vote-changing rule won't be necessary, and that Governor Newsom of California will be the Democratic nominee. This is my opinion. Lots of things might happen, in which case it will be popcorn-eating time.

Maybe a bunch of voters don’t want him anymore. Perhaps millions of them. Shouldn’t they have a recourse, kind of like the student loan forgiveness program. It’s not their fault, after all.
