As a Christian I am not in favor of this. I understand the legality and the difference between roles of State and Federal governments. I don’t want the govt., at any level, advocating a specific religious practice. It opens the door to others.
Cheering for my team this time does not insure that it will remain that way. There could easily be a similar law passed in MN or MI regarding Islam.

Protestants and Catholics enumerate the Ten Commandments differently. ("Thou shalt not kill" is #6 for Protestants but #5 for Catholics.) So will all schools post the Protestant version or will it depend on which group is more numerous locally?

Maybe they should post the Ten Commandments in Hebrew. Then they will be posted but no one will be able to read them (with perhaps the rare exception).

What about schools in Michigan in Dearborn and Hamtramck that are majority Muslim? Should the public school post the Shahada and requite all students to pledge their faith to Islam?
