YES! Go back to paper, no or very limited early voting, photo ID, and fingers dipped in ink.

Take an old fashioned beer case, tape it up real good, cut a slot in the top and put your paper ballots in it. This is infinitely more secure and verifiable that electronic ballot machines.

NO reason to ban them, just force them to meet the same standards used for EFT, which the global economy relies on every day.

Elon says something I totally agree with!

(Of course, he’s still a totally suspect surveillance-state front man as well...)

My only objection to his statement was the use of the word small, as I believe that may apply to AI, but human hackers, no way. But regardless as to the actual number, it only takes one to change an election result.

You don’t know what those machines’ innards are doing. Corrupted versions of the software can be installed secretly. Data from the machines flies through the internet and into computers that could have corrupted software.

Machines has been proven, every and any time there was manual recount.
And, there is always a paper record from the machine voting.
Here, by law, the ballots have to be stored for two years.

Finally, what makes you believe, than manual count will be better?
There will always be a crooked board, counting manually, which could switch manually the vote, count the Dems twice, etc. etc.
Any fraud the machine can do, the crooked manual counting board can do better!
Manual count is a lot less accurate and lot easier to be manipulated than machine one.
This irrational hatred of machines is a wrong way to fix the elections! I would think, some Dems probably planted this idea, to avoid all other ways to really fix the elections (like purging the voter lists, eliminating mail in vote, voting on election day only, voter id’s, etc...)

Ok Freepers. Anyone live in a state where is there is not any kind of a paper trail?

I was under the impression that voting machines now print out paper ballots, the voter checks the ballots which are then scanned by a reader (that’s the way it is in GA now). Otherwise how can there be a recount in the case of close elections?

I remember my parents using the old mechanical voting machines where individual ballots weren’t used, but that was long, long ago.

I propose groups of patriots travel around cities, one minute after midnight, find every drop box, toss in a little gasolene and a lit match.

Ashes are not ballots.

"The risk of being hacked by humans or AI, while small, is still too high."
