Makes no sense unless he’s pandering.

This is a misstep by Vance that exposed his inexperience. Raise the wage, the price of goods goes up, people have less buying power. Rinse & repeat.
Need a different VP.

If a $20 an hour minimum wage is good then a million dollar an hour minimum wage must be better.
Lol.

In today’s economy raising the minimum wage is a de facto subsidy of robot manufacturing companies.

waiting for someone to post the source of the authority for the feds to set a national minimum wage and do dozens of other things.
To: JayGalt
Is this an issue that’s a top concern for voters now?
To: cgbg
True. We could all be rich.
To: HYPOCRACY
The U.S. government has no Constitutional authority to set wages. Vance failed my limited government litmus test.

Where is the actual interview?

Why are so many FReepers on the Vance bandwagon?
This guy is plain stupid based on his ignorance of simple economics.

Minimum wage laws are economic fool’s gold, and particularly damaging to young people trying to get their first job. If J.D. Vance really believes in them, then he is not fit to become President, and I really hope that Trump chooses Doug Burgum instead.
A “liberal” who gets this right is Warren Buffett, who advocates for the Earned Income Tax Credit instead of minimum wage laws. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/warren-buffett-says-fact-poor-170156979.html I agree with Buffett on this.

Maybe the same reason they are on the Trump bandwagon. Something you could never understand, being a never Trumper and all.
