There is a parents with trans kids group that is against the trans cult. Most of them in my area are full of liberals even “Well if she was gay that would be fine...”

10 to 15 years ago the trans were mostly boys wanting to be girls. That number is still about the same, even though the boys get most of the press due to the sports issue. The number of girls wanting to be boys is HUGE. Girls traditionally have been more susceptible to social contagions (”hysteria”).

IMO it's not hysteria. It's just a really terrible time in which to be a girl/woman, what with protected groups getting away with sexual assault and "like a girl" being used as an insult. Even conservatives, who claim to value traditional feminine qualities in girls/women, contradict themselves. A woman who doesn't work outside the home is no longer a lady but a "golddigger". A woman with a low body count is no loger pure but "frigid" and "prudish". I can't tell you the last time I saw the word "feminine" used in a positive way on FR. If you continually devalue femininity you will have a generation of confused young women a decade later.

"And all the time—such is the tragi-comedy of our situation—we continue to clamour for those very qualities we are rendering impossible...In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful." - C.S. Lewis

"If you can't beat them join them" seems to be the motto of female gen Zers.
