Herbert was a rabid anti-Semite, but yeah, read ‘em all, back in the day.

Heinlein was good early on, but then he got wrapped up in nudism, homosexuality and incest. Too gross for me.

Azimov - meh

Zelazny - meh

Le Guin - meh

Somebody once asked Ted Sturgeon why 99% of science fiction was such crap. Never more true than today, as far as the genre goes. (Ted allegedly replied: “99% of everything is crap”.)
