Prevents spilling death bed secrets, dying in a plane crash. Convenient.
Any info on what type of plane?
Prayers.
Be on angels wings, flyboy. 🙏🏻
Suicide?
Met him. He has/had a museum on Orcas Island and saw his P-51 in this museum he had. Nice airport there.
He died. He was 90 years old.
What was he doing with a Pilots License at that age?
prayers up!
We are now approaching lunar sunrise, and for all the people back on Earth, the crew of Apollo 8 has a message that we would like to send to you.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_8_Genesis_reading
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.[6]
RIP
Death confirmed

I’d wager suicide. Decided to leave doing what he loved.
The first of that looks like he was either split-S-ing or coming out of the top of a loop. The arc looked smooth, like he was in control, but just didn’t have enough airspace to pull up in.

That’s one of the three things that will never do a pilot any good.
All the runway that’s behind you.
All the air that’s above you.
And all the fuel that’s on the ground.
Godspeed...
When I was a youngster, I was visiting my father’s office in New York City.
I heard the Apollo 8 astronauts were in town, and, like most boys my age, I was fascinated by the space program.
I left my father’s office and started walking around Manhattan with the intention of finding them.....and I did!
I stood in front of the Waldorf Astoria hotel, and I saw William Anders walking through a revolving door into the hotel.
I stood on the sidewalk for a while when all of a sudden, a limo slowly drove by.
Frank Borman and his wife were sitting on the back seat.
They were stooped over at a 45 degree angle, and they were waving at me and a couple of other people who were standing near me. Of course, I waved back.
I still remember when Frank Borman read from the Book of Genesis while orbiting the moon on Christmas Eve in 1968.
So sad. Rest in peace, Mr. Anders. You were a real hero.
