Good evening, radu...are you getting any dry spells?
No rain, altho the skies look like rain. And we did have patches of sun.
Bible in a Year :
He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.
As a child, my daughter loved playing with her Swiss cheese at lunch. She’d place the pastel yellow square on her face like a mask, saying, “Look, Mom,” her sparkly green eyes peeking out from two holes in the cheese. As a young mom, that Swiss-cheese mask summed up my feelings about my efforts—genuinely offered, full of love, but so very imperfect. Holey, not holy.
Oh, how we long to live a holy life—a life set apart for God and characterized by being like Jesus. But day after day, holiness seems out of reach. In its place, our “holeyness” remains.
In 2 Timothy 1:6-7, Paul writes to his protégé Timothy, urging him to live up to his holy calling. The apostle then clarified that “[God] has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace” (v. 9). This life is possible not because of our character, but because of God’s grace. Paul continues, “This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time” (v. 9). Can we accept God’s grace and live from the platform of power it provides?
Whether in parenting, marriage, work, or loving our neighbor, God calls us to a holy life—made possible not because of our efforts to be perfect but because of His grace.
Reflect & Pray
How do you view personal holiness? In what ways will you ask God to remind you of His all-surpassing grace that brings about His holiness in your life?
Dear God, please help me to lean into Your grace and not my efforts to live a holy life.

Good one.
My parents probably wouldn’t agree. I bought the record when it came out and played it over and over. They finally threatened to break it if I played it more than once a day. LOL
Had a lot of fun at REM concerts in the EARLY ‘80s, before they hit the big time. The last time I saw them was in Durham in the early ‘90s and it wasn’t nearly as much fun. Much better in a packed night club with everyone dancing and sweating than in an auditorium with seats. LOL
Good evening, Pro...busy weekend planned? NIce weather?

Howdy, Kathy.
It’s been dry all week but that ends tonight. We have a soggy week ahead. *sigh* At least I was able to get everything mowed but it took 4 days to do it. Champ and I are both ready for the break. LOL
It’s looked like it would rain several times up there this week. I did see a couple of showers in the distance last night after the sun went down - - during the looooong twilight.
It’s been blustery out by the airports the past couple of days. Not quite as bad today, at least, but still enough to rock the seaplanes taking off and landing.

Good evening, Fiji...perfect song for the “occasion”.
Nothing planned, always a great time to relax, weather has been great but May is the 2nd coolest on record, still have my heat on in the mornings!
What's up your way?
Howdy, luvie.
I’m glad you missed out on the “excitement” yesterday. It got pretty rough just SE of you.
Howdy, PRO.
We’re going to have to start calling you Quick Draw McGraw, you get in here so fast. LOL
How are things out your way? Summer trying to settle in yet or is it still on the cool side?
Good evening, spel, and thank you for the Friday Evening Edition of the Salsa Addiction Emergency Room. ((HUGS))
Enjoyed the music and instruments.
Hey there, radu!
Yeah, I saw the video and was shocked! I knew we had thunder and some wind gusts and it got pretty dark for a bit, but had NO idea there were tornadoes involved. Glad they were in the middle of nowhere, because they happened right at rush hour, and you’ve seen our crazy traffic!
Did you get to mow some more today? Hope it wasn’t too warm for it....or windy. Have some ride-alongs? :)
I just switched from a cable to a fiber optic internet service and it is even quicker than before and it's even cheaper!
We've had a monopoly internet service here with Spectrum for so long and now there's a new guy in town with faster and cheaper internet service, win-win for the consumer!
Nothing much happening here lately, the May weather has been rather cool but still sunny. Should warm-up anytime now.
How are you and the kittehs doing?
