The Beatles - Come and Get It
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSCVOQv4j6E
Didn’t know McCartney wrote this song. Too bad it wasn’t on Abbey Road and one of the others dropped.
There’s a severe storm warning with it now and with luck, the brunt of that will miss you. Ping pong ball-size hail and 60 mph wind gusts, it says. I hope the kitties have stayed close enough to home to be able to get into the gardening shed.
Fingers crossed for luck you just get rain and not the rest.
We haven’t had a drop of anything. Maybe way north of town has or will, but where we are there has just been some moderate wind gusts. The kitties came to the door because I went out. I’m sure they’re in hiding now. These cats are awesome of hiding. LOL! And hunkering down. It’s the feral in them.
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...happy Gizmo at Comanche Lake. Rocks and grass and water and rolling places.
You boys enjoy your Saturday outing.
Thanks, luvie, for the tunes. ((HUGS))
That stinks. It fell apart, and what’s held together is passing to the east. Drat!
The kitties have their hidey spots. They can hear a lot better than we can and if they’ve wandered off, they’ll head back when they hear a storm coming. >^..^<
Hi, Kathy! You’re welcome. It is fun to do this small thing for our troops.
Thank YOU for all you do for them and for us. And for teaching me all those years ago how to do this stuff like post music! (((hugs)))
Yep. That happens all the darn time. One of these days it’s going to surprise us again and we’ll have a nice rain. Out of the blue.
It does happen way too often. I keep hoping some rain will find its way there.
But, that’s why it’s a desert. :-)
We thought we were going to become a desert last fall. We couldn’t get rain for nothin’ for four months. It was scary, especially when fires started breaking out. We hope that doesn’t happen again.
Oh indeed...and the weather is perfect...so far.
Good morning all!

Indeed I will be Kathy!
I can't help but think of this when I hear "Let's Have Another Cup O' Coffee".
Gold Star Father Allen Hoe Honors His Son 1LT Nainoa K. Hoe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs-ttgiG7vo
Gold Star Families know all too well the cost of freedom. When Vietnam veteran Allen Hoe’s son 1LT Nainoa K. Hoe was killed in combat in Iraq, Allen experienced a parent’s worst nightmare. His journey through grief and search for peace after his son’s death inspired a lifelong commitment to healing the wounds of war by supporting those touched by its effects.
Comments below the video:
“What a tragic loss but if I have ever seen a PAPA that could be PROUD of his son this is it. What a Hero and a Hero parent.”
“Thank you for walking the line from my family to yours as a Veteran and father of an active-duty Marine.”
“Let no one ever disparage those who have given the ultimate for our country and honor their families forever. No one who ever they are, name, position, or status, should ever speak against these proud young people.”
I've never seen this episode, but it features some classic Oldies:
I Get the Blues when it Rains--Guy Lombardo & His Royal Canadians (1929)
How Deep Is the Ocean?--Paul Whiteman& His Orchestra (1932)
Honey--Rudy Vallee & His Connecticut Yankees (1929)
Let's Have Another Cup of Coffee (Phil Spitalny version, 1932)
Hi Fiji Hill,I like this one.https://youtu.be/zvCBSSwgtg4?si=0WdxPlUs1nK3b8wf
That’s a catchy tune.
