Dumping aid on Haiti just means that they will never be motivated enough to create their own infrastructure.

How can a farmer compete with free food. How can a Haitian doctor make a living when doctors from around the globe are always there to treat people for free?

“For God’s Sake, Please Stop The Aid!”

Exactly.

Our "White Saviour" complex has brought more misery, suffering, and dependence upon the Third World than if we had just let them be.

In Sierra Leone in 1995 - 200 highly trained (white) mercenaries (Executive Outcomes) prevented the Sierra Leone civil war - only until corrupt African governments (and the Clinton Administration) decided to give the job over to “Nigerian peacekeepers” and force the Sierra Leone government to accept the Abidjan Peace Accords.

With that, the government collapsed and all the terror one associates with the Sierra Leone civil war came to the fore.

The only thing the USA needs to do with Haiti is authorize the same for Haiti. I bet the entire country could be controlled with 800 private military contractors

Years ago some newly elected president of some African country said basically just that. He talked about trying to establish clothing manufacturers so people could earn money. Money they could use to buy local products - like clothing. But with the shiploads of clothing from “aid” organizations they couldn’t compete.
