There are plenty of state liquor stores not on the freeways that can be easily accessed. The ones like Hampton and Portsmouth on I-95 are pure tourist traps. NH has no income or sales tax and so tolls are certainly a revenue source but it’s nothing like MA where every single thing in your life is taxed.
Believe me, I know that well!
But the state booze shops are especially positioned to lure MA buyers. And does MA still have its blue laws? If so, their Sunday MA biz is still the biggest.
“Sin taxes” as NH was known to run on, though now more on property and passive income taxes.
