How about -15% for a few years to unwind all the damaged that arsehole Brandon did.

She should have resigned and retired after her “transitory” inflation pronouncement.

Whatever inflation number is reported, it will be much lower than the real inflation for all but the richest Americans.

Inflation can get into the twos.

I doubt it.
Even if it does, the upward pricing that has already occurred will be maintained.

Given that the Fed has way slowed down the printing presses she is probably correct. The issue is that after a period of high inflation when you stop the presses Recession is guaranteed.

So lets try this again. If I weigh 100 pounds and gain (inflation) 10% per year for three years I will weigh:
0 year – 100 pounds
1 year – (100 x 1.10) = 110 pounds
2 years – (110 x 1.10) = 121 pounds
3 years – (121 x 1.10) = 133.1 pounds
If, for year 4, I now experience 2% gain (inflation) I will weigh:
Year 4 - 133.1 x 1.02 = 135.7 pounds
So after 4 years I gained 35.7 pounds and I should be rehiring my weight trainer?
