I was mocked because I laughed at some hopium that somebody posted about getting F-16s in late August 2023.
Today's date [April 2024] makes it 7 solid months since The Mocking. And STILL no F-16s...
Need the AV-8B_Harrier_II, because non-airfield landing locations are a necessity (and Harriers are available - though now in storage):

Take that over the F-16, because it can do a better job of hiding. I suspect that Ukraine could have had a significant number of Harriers by now. But now, other countries are going to need it.
Meaning, there is a definite need for an airborne launch-platform for issuing anti-air missiles that can fly long distance to a remote airborne target.
Thereafter, finding a place to land and have maintenance performed - that is NOT an airstrip.
Overall, we need altogether:
Ground-based anti-air, anti-missile support
for our own airborne jet aircraft that are
far from the front and operating
as long-range anti-air;
while also having local anti-airborne-drones,
that protect the ground-based
anti-air, anti-missile.

My two cents re flame wars, is, don't. FR has had plenty of them, with people imagining that their word [s]kills make them a winning gun-fighter. But the results have historically been, a loss of membership - even when some members remain.
Keeping an operational unit together, is not easy, but that is some of my interest. And it is why I point out an error.
Along a trail, a warning to not go off trail, to take a leak; but that, dismissed by somebody and then BOOM, letting the enemy know. Or, "simply" disappearing forever.
I am interested in training. Learning from info that returns from an op. Self-disclipline. Take care.
