Well, it buys time. The Appelate Court has to schedule a hearing. Then they could rule quickly, or drag their feet on a decision. That could work either for or against Trump. They could hold off on a decision until November, or issue a ruling in July/September that forces Trump into a trial during the last stretch of campaign season.

Phil Holloway said on Fox earlier today that the appellate court isn't going to be worried about the politics of this case the way Judge McAfee would be. They aren't going to be afraid of Fani or Fulton County politics.

Things don't look good for Fanny.
