Murphy thinks this because he himself is incompetent at doing anything well but winning elections.

Yes - it is absolutely unrealistic to think you can walk onto an 8 lane freeway without getting run over...MORON!!
To: ChicagoConservative27
Probably could have avoided it if the DEI hire and the traitor had been replaced by competent military.

Murphy is unfortunately for the People of Connecticut another idiot of a politician representing us.
He doesn’t give a damned about our military personnel or their lives and safety.
He cares about one thing and that thing is the Military dollars coming into Connecticut to build the toys our troops are going to need in the event of war.

Only an abject moron would pull the troops out first.
One of probably twenty flying-jackass-stupid decisions.

Really? What was the sudden need to withdraw from Afghanistan?! And in such a slipshod careless troop-and-civilian endangering manner?!

“He closed Bagram Air Base a little over a month prior. Keeping that open was absolutely the realistic way of how he could have avoided a chaotic withdrawal.”
In the end, we got off lightly. It could have been another Dien Bien Phu. All the Taliban had to do to trap thousands of our soldiers was block the runways. No resupply and no escape. All they would have to do was wait until the supplies ran out. Thousands of hostages, or they could have just used all those fine weapons we gave them and blown our people to hell and gone.

it was “absolutely unrealistic” to say the Biden administration could have avoided the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. Somehow the Soviet Union was able to extract its forces from Afghanistan in the late 1980's without a debacle.

as explained at hearing, Bagram needed at least 2500 US troops to maintain so when Joey Boy ordered US troops to be drawn down to zero,Bagram had to be closed.

the generals suggested that a look be given to the laws/protocols governing US embassies, protection of US citizens abroad, etc - because apparently State was in charge of some of this (unfortunately, since it was shown to be unrealistic, slow, disorganized, and loathe to coordinate w/DOD) which makes no sense.
