resident Biden’s State of the Union speech was trashed by prominent political pundits for its political nature, with some likening it to more of a campaign speech than an overview of the state of the country.
"Attacking his opponent directly in the first minutes of his speech is unprecedented and perhaps the most partisan start to a State of the Union address in modern memory," AEI Senior Fellow and former speechwriter for President George W. Bush Marc Thiessen wrote on X during Biden’s Thursday night speech.
Biden criticized former President Donald Trump several times during his speech.
"This man should never be allowed to take the rostrum of the House and deliver a State of the Union address again," Thiessen posted on X moments later.
"As someone who helped write several SOTUs and who reveres this important presidential institution, I’m stunned by this address," Thiessen said in another post. "It’s an utter disgrace."
"Does anyone remember a State of the Union speech so nakedly partisan as this one?" Georgetown Law Professor Randy Barnett posted on X.
"In which the President repeatedly attacks his predecessor and prospective rival? I can’t."
"This speech is nothing but a cheap and tawdry campaign speech," conservative radio host and author Mark Levin posted on X.
"Biden is just off," former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer posted on X. "His tone, his speed of delivery, his loud punchy way of speaking, is really weird."

It truly was the weirdest, angriest SOTU speech I’ve ever seen... and it’s not even close. I guess that the powers that be decided that the antidote to the popular image of Biden as a rum-dumb, decrepit old codger was to recast him as a mad-as-hell, defiant old bastard just itchin’ for a fight.
Poor Joe! Somehow, he swapped the State of the Union speech with his DNC nomination acceptance speech. /sarc
I still see “Biden/Kamala” stickers on cars. It’s utterly mind boggling to me.
The “State of The Union” is as bad as that speech.
I watched a little over half and had to walk away as it was unsettling me. I started getting the feeling of unreality, everything in the Universe with a D was perfect yet anything with an R abhorrent.
Plus I was just puzzled over his angry demeanor on all topics:

Democrats were ordered to watch Harris.........b/c Biden had a pre-arranged scheme
to have her stand up and clap every 5 minutes to get him as many “standing ovations” as possible.
Media should report how many times Kamala robotically stood
and crazily clapped as Democrats obediently followed her lead.
It was all calculated......planned in advance to get
Biden media play.....and maybe a bump in the polls.
Kamala isn’t used to such exercise up down up down—
she’s at her best on her knees.
Democrats really got their exercise. Clapping on command
every 5 minutes obliterated any meaning to his gibberish.
It would be hilarious if the media focused on Kamala’s rehearsed “cues”
to the dumb Democrats who Biden figured wouldnt know when to clap.
So he made a deal w/ Kamala .......gave her the speech and told her
to memorize the red-lined parts so she’d know when to stand up.
Yeah, don’t blame PedoJoe. He’s just saying what his puppetmasters are telling him to say. He’d get in trouble if he said anything different. You know, like he says he’ll get in trouble if he takes questions from the press. Someone should really find out who he’d be in trouble from.
It was a convention speech, not a SOTU.
It was simply a rant by the tinpot leader of a Socialist country. Nothing more.
I almost think Biden hit the crack pipe to get his mind cranked up. Like other uppers, crack cocaine stimulates the central nervous system and boosts the user’s energy, physical stamina, and alertness, making them feel invincible and invigorated.

Calling Xiden a ‘man’ is a bit of a stretch.
