I am not against tax cuts just think that being in favor of tax cuts in times of high deficits is asinine and that anyone who supports tax cuts for people wealthier than them is a simp.

“I am not against tax cuts just think that being in favor of tax cuts in times of high deficits is asinine...”

*************

Government has an insatiable appetite for money. If taxes are increased they will quickly spend it — and even more thereby adding to the deficit and debt. The more money it gets the more it will spend, usually on dubious and wasteful programs, giveaways to political favorites, subsidies for friends, expansion of government, increasing government employment, etc. Moreover, the bigger government gets the more opportunities there are for graft, corruption and abuses of power. Trust me, the Left knows this well whihc is why they fight so hard to expand it.

The Founding Fathers would be appalled by the enormity and breadth of our overbearing government today. I’m for taking money away from it to get back to a leaner and more responsive government. Tax cuts are one way to do that.

BTW two of the credit ratings services have downgraded U.S. debt and a third has it on credit watch. Yet that has done nothing to slow down the spending.

We have a serious spending problem and the government needs to be downsized and put on a diet.
