Nazis are right wing. Anti-freedom from the perspective of militarism and corporate-state power sharing, as opposed to Unions and intelligentsia splitting power on the left.

Freedom is centrist. There is anti freedom of a left variety and a right variety, and the Nazis were of the right. Not going to argue with you, but you are factually wrong.

Socialism, yes... even National Socialisms, is demonstrably LEFT wing.

A monumental oversimplification by someone with obviously a limited knowledge of what they are talking about.

Nazis economically were left of center, culturally were autocratic fascists which is often misidentified with the “right”.

"Nazis are right wing. Anti-freedom from the perspective of militarism and corporate-state power sharing, as opposed to Unions and intelligentsia splitting power on the left"

So, the name National Socialist German Worker's Party is a typo.

Got it.

“Nazis are right wing.”

Nazi = National Socialist German Workers Party

How could you not know this?

No. There is respect for the dignity and rights/freedoms of the individual and then the subsuming of those under the power of the state, in various flavors.

The Soviet Union and Red China weren't militarist?" They allowed labor unions like Solidarity in Poland, and Lysenkoism and the Cultural Revolution weren't things?

Lol, you're not 10% as smart as you think you are.

Wrong, Hitler and the National SOCIALIST were, indeed, socialists. After the Reichstag fire the Nazis effectively eliminated private property and seized any property that did not confirm to Hitler’s grand scheme of a pure aryan nation. The difference between Hitler’s socialism and Stalin’s socialism is Hitler’s was a racial socialism.
Any business that hired Jews or refused to tow the Nazis line was seized and given to a reliable (party) member.
This is how the Nazis were able to seize all Jewish properties legally.
And the Nazis had a laundry list of social programs that would make any FDR New Deal look like a American small government conservative!

I tend to think, in general, you are right. Hitler called his party “National Socialist German Workers’ Party” because he knew how to win an election.

He banned the unions outright, once in power.

The Nazis got in tight with the Fascists of Italy and Spain.

Were they Christian? No way. There may be no parallel of the American Right in Europe.

But, if the Bolsheviks of the Russian Revolution of 1917 were the Left, then Hitler, Mussolini and Franco were the Right. Europe was scared sh-tless of waking up to get stuffed down a well as in Russia.

There is a pointlessness to trying to run away from the name-calling of the Left. I don’t have a problem with a difference between America’s current Right and Europe’s answer to the Bolshevik Revolution.

Isn’t totalitarianism (100% government control) completely left and anarchy (0% government control) completely right? Our nation was initially in the middle with minimal government, but fascism - collusion of government and corporations, AKA, “Corporatism” according to the father of fascism, Benito Mussolini - which is headed by a dictator, is towards the left.

You can’t even get the definition of fascism correct, as the Nazis took what Mussolini created and adapted it for themselves. Sure, militarism is part of it, but it’s part of nearly all dictatorships in part to create fear amongst the populace.

“Fascism should more properly be called corporatism, since it is the merger of the state and corporate power.” - Benito Mussolini
