I focus on truth and fact. Political affiliation is secondary. But am I one of “you”? Never. But there are good conservatives out there. Sadly their numbers are getting smaller. But I am more like them.

Alright. Let us see if you are.

What are your positions on:

  1. Stricter gun control, esp. 'assault weapon' bans, bans on magazine size, and restrictions on ammunition acquisition?
  2. What is your stand on an open southern border?
  3. How do you feel about our national budget, esp. as regards Continuing Resolutions, the mass creation of money (also by the forgiveness of government loans) and Washington's inability or lack of desire to balance it?
  4. Do you agree with the World Economic Forum that manmade global warming / climate change is a legitimate concern, and that we must vastly decrease farming, force people to eat insects for their protein needs, and ban the ICE engine?
  5. Do you favor the current administration position as regards Ukraine, and would you send more money, less money, or cut them off?
  6. Do you believe in strict controls on speech, or having the government partner with social media giants (Facebook, Twitter, and so on), such that misinformation or disinformation is stopped?

joesbucks: The line should be where the border was before Russia’s aggression.

Why would the US agree to Russia being awarded any land?

My gun control restrictions pertain more to who can acquire them vs type. If you’re nuts, then no guns.

On border control, we need more officers to deter crossings and court personnel to process people. For those seeking asylum they need processed quickly. Up or down. The wall will stop neither the border breeches nor the drugs. It may curtail some breeches but not stop. The impenetrable wall built by Trump is breeched thousands of times per year. And the vast majority of drugs comes through the ports of entry. Since the vast majority of breechers are Catholic by faith, I get confused by the cultural aversion. And frankly, we need the labor pool they can provide. We’re to the bottom of the barrel with the available labor pool. Lots of mental, substance abuse or criminal convictions is about all that remains. More to your question, there are more and better solutions than just a wall.

We need a budget solution. But before we get there, we need to determine the proper role and cost of government. And frankly, I don’t think loan forgiveness would be an issue had Trump offered it. I’ve seen people scratch their heads over what he has done only to later embrace it. Like his covid money, a lot of people got it that didn’t need it. I didm’t need it. But got it. I was not impacted financially by COVID shutdowns. Yet I and virtually everyone else got it. And I think the universal handout is why it never got a lot of pushback.

I do believe man has an environmental impact. I don’t agree with the solutions you listed.

I support Ukraine. I see it as Reagan saw it

I believe she coal media should point out what they believe is false information and in some extreme cases block or delete it. Whether it be Twitter, Facebook or Free Republic or DU. I don’t have a problem with govt agencies advocating their positions. Whether Trump or Biden.

I know the above won’t pass your litmus test, but the answers you’re looking for are likely more libertarian than conservative.
