Sorry snowflake whether or not you feel safe it’s not the goal of society. That man has the right to be safe from the maniacs who would come in and do harm.

"It was not immediately clear what kind of gun Lucas was carrying."The author author's first draft read "Lucas was carrying a black and very scary looking gun" but, surprisingly, some editor toned it down.

Minors have no business simping for school administrators. Isn’t this conspiring to deny people their civil rights? Haven’t cops been arrested for denying civil rights? Why can schools get away with it. Gun ownership is a civil rights.

The snowflakes are running for their safe rooms. The Indiana and Indianapolis subreddits are aghast and shocked that he brandished a weapon in front of terrified children, traumatizing them for ever. And they fall back on their feinting couches.

It was the teachers who were using the students as political pawns. Again. Another ‘spontaneous’ demonstration?

It’s so much better when you can openly discuss things. I was at a friend’s shop yesterday getting some work done on my truck.
I had a great discussion about politics and religion with another guy in the waiting room. He was typically ignorant about news besides what he heard on the soundbites but was very willing to talk. He’s black, I’m white. I even said “Wait a minute, aren’t we supposed to hate each other?”
Then I went to my buddy’s office and among other things, we talked guns. I didn’t show him my new one that I was carrying.

My neighbor, a state senator, has been noticed in several situations ‘concealed’ carrying. Not accidentally.

If a good guy pulls a gun when a bad guy attacks, I wouldn’t feel good about possible stray bullets, but I would be relieved that the bad guy might be stopped.

He didn’t flash his gun.
He was asked if he was carrying and answered it.

I can’t believe someone thought this was newsworthy. The issue under discussion was guns, the student asked a question, and the lawmaker responded politely and included a visual example.

Damn right. We Hoosiers don’t take fools gladly.
Everything he did was well within his right to do so ... and that said, the dude is wound tighter than a tick on a dog's butt and could have simply ignored them, because the two students quoted come off as damaged and deranged, and you can't reason with that.
The other problem is that he could have and should have punched down on the adult chaperone instead:
"You are paid with our taxes, so tell me what is the law of this state regarding concealed carry? How long has it been this way? So, you don't know? You brought these young adults here on the state dollar, but they have no concept of what the basis is for the 'argument' you are here to try and supposedly 'make'? What kind of person could try to pass off gaslighting as education?"
